  • Hope Valley Train Crawl Saturday 23 May 2026 11:00 train from Dronfield Station

    A join social with Sheffield & District branch.

    Catch the train from Sheffield station at 12:14 or from Dore & Totley station at 12:21 to Edale for the Rambler Inn. We'll then head back to Hope to visit the Old Hall Hotel's Beer & Cider festival. There is also the option to do a few pubs in Hathersage too.

    From Dronfield station there is a train into Sheffield at 11:00 arriving Sheffield 11:12, the Sheffield Tap brewpub is available to enjoy some refreshment until the Edale train leaves!

    An off peak return train ticket from Dronfield to Edale costs £12.80. Alternatively a Derbyshire Wayfarer bus+train pass for the day costs £17.

  • Trip to Sheaf View Summer beer festival Friday 19 June 2026 19:30 Route 43 bus

    We always enjoy a potter around the Heeley triangle pub crawl, especially when there's a beer festival on at the Sheaf View which sees extra beers on in the shed outside and on a pop up bar in the conservatory!

    Meet at the Sheaf View at 7:30pm for the beer festival, then there is the option to head up to to the Brothers Arms and back down to the main road to finish at the White Lion which usually has a band on, before getting the bus back to Dronfield. Optional extra pub visits on the main road include the Crown and the Heeley Tap.

    Getting there: There are 43 buses arriving in Heeley at 19:12 or 19:48. You can board them in Unstone, Gosforth, Dronfield Woodhouse or opp Dronfield Sainsburys. They are timed to pass the stop under Gosforth flyover at 18:49 and 19:26.

    Getting back: Buses leave from Heeley at 22:51 (route 44) and 23:21 (route 43).

    Bus timetables are available from travelderbyshire.co.uk and you can track buses live on a map at bustimes.org. The single bus fare is £3 a ride or Stagecoach do an "Evening Rider" pass after 6pm that can be used as a return, costing £4.20.
