Dronfield CAMRA Pub of the Season (Summer 2013), Cider Pub of the Year (2014) and overall Pub of the Year for 2014, 2015 and 2018. A constantly changing range of cask beers is a feature of this popular pub. The Traveller's Rest, sometimes referred to by its nickname of the 'Corner Pin'. is a traditional country pub at the edge of the village. The outdoor drinking area provides sweeping views over the Drone Valley - one of the best views in Derbyshire. Good quality food is available at all times, with the cheese platters and pork pies being noteworthy.

A comfortable and welcoming true village local tucked away in the heart of Coal Aston. The Cross Daggers is a 19th century pub which has been home to landlord, Anthony Hutchinson since 2000. He is also responsible for the nearby Royal Oak . The pub proudly carries the Cask Marque accreditation for their beer management. A viewing window in the floor shows the immaculate cellar below. The bar hosts 4 hand pulls with up to 3 ever changing, often sourced from local breweries. Dogs not allowed in the pub but are welcome in the outdoor drinking area. The Cross Daggers was the winner of Dronfield & District CAMRA's 2024 Pub of the Year award.

The Blue Stoops reopened in November 2016 after being closed and becoming near derelict.
After two years of closure True North Brew Co gave The Blue Stoops a completely new lease of life, by completing an extensive refurbishment including a function room and beer garden.
The pub was taken over by the Chilled Pubs company in 2022.

The pub is located next door to Sheffield F.C, (the world's oldest football club's current ground). It is operated by Thornbridge Brewery and showcases a good range of their beers and occasional guest ales across a wide range of beer styles. The large outdoor drinking area is particularly popular. The pub hosts a quiz night on Thursdays.
The Coach is currently operating a loyalty card scheme - buy 9 pints of real ale and get the tenth free.

The Dronfield Arms became Dronfield's first brewpub when a brewery kit was installed downstairs in the former restaurant in 2015. This is on display to customers through a glass panel in the floor of the main bar. The original brewery name was Hopjacker. It has been replaced by the Temper Brewery which first brewed in late 2021. The Arms features a very long bar with the real ale dispensed at the top end which has a large comfortable seating area. Also on the bar are several keg fonts including KeyKeg. There is an outside raised seating area at the rear of the pub adjacent to the car park. All cask ale £3 per pint Monday to Friday 3pm to 5pm

Following an extensive refurbishment of the former Smiffy's bar, the Underdog opened its doors in September 2019. It is a large, single room, with a very high ceiling, wooden floors, and is furnished in a contemporary design. The long bar hosts five real ales, four ever-changing, and several keg lines including Key Keg alongside a varied selection of spirits. The bar welcomes dogs and children (check times restrictions) but not vaping.

A former Shipstone's house, the Jolly Farmer was renamed in the late nineties from the Gorsey Brigg and retains much of the artificial rustic character it was given then. Different levels and alcoves give this large pub a very intimate feel.

A community-owned, five brewer's barrel establishment which is housed in part of an industrial unit and commenced brewing in 2016.
All aspects of the brewery are primarily volunteer-operated, and new members are more than welcome - life membership costs £10.
The Tap bar usually offers up to four real ales: a bitter, two pales, and a dark, which are brewed on site. Wines, spirits, and soft drinks are also available. The Tap bar is located in the main brewery building, with seating available in an adjoining heated marquee where events are also held. These are often live music events, with most being fundraising evenings for different charities and are held on Fridays and Saturdays when the opening hours are extended.
